“MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN YOUNG PEOPLE’S LIVES ON AND OFF THE PLAYING FIELDS.”

Urban Sports Beat is a premier television show that spotlights the amazing young talent in the city of Baltimore, on and off the playing fields. Our mission is to provide Baltimore the opportunity to see the strides our youth are making for themselves using the avenue of sports.

Founder and Host Troy Hackley’s vision of becoming a sports broadcaster is now a realization. After obtaining his degree and working as a local television and radio broadcaster, he started Urban Sports Beat with a shoe string budget. Now with multiple years on air, the show spotlights youth sporting events around the Baltimore Metro Area. The show covers a mixture of College, High School, AAU, Little League and Pop Warner sporting events.

Urban Sports Beat fills a void in the local programming schedules that did not include what was happening around the urban areas of Baltimore. A lot of talented youth were not only exhibiting outstanding skills on the playing fields, but were using those talents as a spring board to educational opportunities. Our goal is to showcase some of that talent, letting people know that there are fun activities around town that can be enjoyed by everyone!

Urban Sports Beat features sporting and other related events in the Baltimore area. The show airs every Saturday on Comcast Channel 75 at 12 noon. This show places emphasis on encouraging youth and young adults to use the benefits of sports as a building block to carve out their future!

Join us in spreading the good news! There is a show right here in Baltimore where your sons, daughter, friends and neighbors can watch and enjoy the amazing youth and young adults in our city!
